To Dawn Raphael, Sis, George, Sam, the Reds and Goldie:
The demise of the fishtank.
George was the first, who for some unknown reason,
Just up and died in this Red Tide season.
Then Sis unexpectedly showed up with white scale;
She stayed in the corner, appearing quite pale.
At this time to ward off some fungus unseen,
My faithful cohort threw in Malachite Green.
But who could have known that such beautiful blue
Would finish off Sis and Dawn Raphael, too?
Fresh water, quick! In a two-liter beaker,
Two Reds died of heat shock and Goldie was weaker.
We added fresh water, about half a tank.
But by the next morning, my heavy heart sank.
Little One and Big Bob, forsaken and lonely,
Without Sam and Goldie, those two are left only.
